Week Thirteen Picks

We went 1 for 1 last week as the Jets beat the Bills in Toronto and the Dolphins surprised most everyone by beating the Patriots down in Miami. Time to step it up.

Carolina Panthers (5-7) at New England Patriots (7-5)

While everything in our green blood wants the Panthers to shock the world and take down the Patriots, it isn't likely so we are not betting against the odds. The Patriots are undefeated at home so expect them to clean up, early to the game.

Panthers: 10 - Patriots: 24

Miami Dolphins (6-6) at Jacksonville Jaguars (7-5)

This is another head over heart, although it is unclear where Jet fans want the ball to bounce on this one. The Dolphins have been playing inconsistent (see Bills/Patriots) and the Jaguars play well at home. Expect it to be close but the Jags run game to be too much for the Dolphins defense to handle.

Dolphins: 20 - Jaguars: 21

Buffalo Bills (4-8) at Kansas City Chiefs (3-9)

The last time these two teams played the Bills took it to the Chiefs so it might be time for a little payback. The edge goes to the home team and the Chiefs get one more win for the season.

Bills: 13 - Chiefs: 17

New York Jets (6-6) at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-11)

If there is any hope of making the playoffs it starts with a win on Sunday. The Bucs are not having the best season and their rookie quarterback through five picks last week. Mark Sanchez gets the rest so it is up to KC and the Sunshine Band to bring us the win. Expect a very simple game plan and execution, just the way it should be.

Keys to the Castle: Now more than ever, feed the ball to the run game and let the defense wipe up. If Kellen Clemmens throws more than 20 passes, the Jets are behind in a big way.
