Week One 2009 - Jet Kingdom Throne Picks
Jet Kingdom picks the AFC East match ups and scores for week one of the 2009 NFL season. This weeks match-ups are Dolphins in Atlanta, the Bills heading to New England and the Jets opening up in Houston against the Texans.
Week Zero Results
A new season and a new beginning. No ruffled feathers and nothing wrong. It is good to be the king.
Miami Dolphins (0-0) at Atlanta Falcons (0-0)
The Dolphins are going to have a tough time repeating their 11-5 season last year. They might have the same weapons but starting away against a good dome team in the Falcons is going to be tough. Expect Matt Ryan to pick up where he left off in a win.
Dolphins: 17 - Falcons: 30
Buffalo Bills (0-0) at New England Patriots (0-0)
If pre-season is any barometer the Bills are going to be in for a long season. The lack of offensive line is going to hurt the running game and Trent Edwards. This is a game for Tom Brady to prove he hasn't lost it and he will put up 40 just to do that.
Bills: 9 - Patriots: 40
New York Jets (0-0) at Houston Texans (0-0)
Mark Sanchez makes his rookie debut in Houston with his rookie head coach to help along. The non-rookies in the running game will be his best friend. Expect the blitz packages to come until the last second ticks off the clock.
Key to the Castle: Keep it simple stupid. First start for a rookie on the road, keep the ground game going and the defense pumping and he will make it out just fine.
Jets: 21 - Texans: 19
Come back next week for a recap of the Jets and to see how we did.
