Week Six Picks

Not a lot of games to pick last week so going 1-1 isn't bad, but isn't great. Knew that the Patriots could get it done against the win less Titans, but didn't think the Jets would lose at home against the Bills. Ugh. Here we go..

New England Patriots (4-2) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-6)

The only wild card in the game is the trip to London, other than that this should be a epic loss by the Bucs, heading into 0-7 and playing for worst team in football. Sure, it could be some big upset, but take the over. Expect Tom Brady to put on a show for the foreigners.

Patriots: 31 - Buccaneers: 21

Buffalo Bills (2-4) at Carolina Panthers (2-3)

This is a toss up of two pretty bad teams, but we have to give it to the home team. Bills quarterback Trent Edwards is out so don't expect the Bills to be able to rally like they did last week.

Bills: 15 - Panthers: 17

New Orleans Saints (6-0) at Miami Dolphins (2-3)

This should be another big test of the Saints defense which has been pretty good this season. If they can stop the wildcat and expose the Dolphins secondary Drew Brees and company should be able to win on the road. Expect it to be close as the Dolphins have a way of keeping the balls and slowly putting up points.

Saints: 33 - Dolphins: 27

New York Jets (3-3) at Oakland Raiders (2-4)

There is only one thing to like about this game and that is Mark Sanchez returning to sunny California. The loss last week by the Jets and the win by the Raiders makes this a game that should strike fear into the hearts of all Jet fans. Expect the playbook to be real simple and the Jets to check down the ball, a lot.

Keys to the Castle: The Jets need to get their swagger back and the best way to do that is bring out a hard hitting defense and a running attack. Keep the ball on the ground and make the Raiders beat us with their offense.
