Week Seventeen 2009 - Jet Kingdom Throne Picks
For week 17 we pick the New England Patriots at the Houston Texans, the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Miami Dolphins, the Indianapolis Colts at the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals at New York Jets.
Week Sixteen Picks Review
It wasn't a bad week as we go the Jets, Falcons and Patriots right but Miami stopped us from a perfect 4-0. We feel pretty good about our picks this week.
New England Patriots (10-5) at Houston Texans (8-7)
The Patriots are being pretty coy about who will start and for how long, but my guess is they have enough to win the game, if nothing else than to prove they can win on the road. Expect at least one good half of football and the score high before the half.
Patriots: 31 - Texans: 17
Pittsburgh Steelers (8-7) Miami Dolphins (7-8)
Two teams are still in it but this game is probably the last either will see of this stadium in the next five weeks. The Dolphins are coming out flat against teams and we don't expect them to play up to the Steelers level.
Steelers: 24 - Dolphins: 21
Indianapolis Colts (14-1) at Buffalo Bills (5-10)
The Colts might not have their starters in for the whole game, but it will be enough to beat the Bills even in the cold.
Colts: 20 - Bills: 6
Cincinnati Bengals (10-5) at New York Jets (8-7)
There might be a lot of smack talk going back and forth between Senior Eight Five, but the Bengals know they don't have anything to play for and will rest their starters. Expect this game to be exciting only to the Jets fans licking their chops at the thought of a playoff spot.
Keys to the Castle: Nothing different from every week, which is to keep Mark Sanchez to under 20 passes and one interception while running the ball hard. Let the defense do the rest.
Bengals: 10 - Jets: 28
Come back next week for those Throne Picks as well as our results.
