Week Two 2009 - Jet Kingdom Throne Picks
Jet Kingdom picks the AFC East match ups and scores for week two of the 2009 NFL season. This weeks match-ups are the Buccaneers heading to Buffalo, the Colts in Miami and the Patriots heading to the Meadowlands to ake on the New York Jets.
Week One Results
We went 3-0 last week, predicting that Pats to beat the Bills, Dolphins to lose to the Falcons and the Jets winning in Houston. So far, so good!
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1) vs Buffalo Bills (0-1)
The Bills and Bucs are both licking their wounds this week after losing the first game of the season. The Bills lost horribly on Monday night, letting the Patriots score twice in two minutes and the bad news is, they will lose this one as well. Expect the Bucs to pound the ball and get their first win.
Buccaneers: 23 - Bills: 19
Indianapolis Colts (1-0) vs Miami Dolphins (0-1)
The Colts didn't look so good in their opener, but pulled out a win. The Dolphins on the other hand looked lost and Chad Pennington had a tough day at the office. Expect the Colts defense to give Chad and his offense a tough time and a Colts win.
Colts: 28 - Dolphins: 17
New England Patriots (1-0) vs New York Jets (1-0)
This might not be the Super Bowl, but it will be a great test of the Jets defense against an offense that seems to be back on track. Expect more rookie mistakes from Mark Sanchez but a few special teams plays to put this game in the W column.
Key to the Castle: Don't let up! The Bills lost on Monday night because they let up on defense and couldn't convert when it mattered on offense. If Rex brings anything to the defense hopefully it is 60 minutes of pressure.
Patriots: 20 - Jets: 24
Come back next week for a recap of the Jets and to see how we did in our Throne Picks. Go Jets!
