Championship Weekend 2009 - Jet Kingdom Throne Picks
One last game before the Super Bowl, we pick the Minnesota Vikings at the New Orleans Saints and the New York Jets at the Indianapolis Colts.
Divisional Weekend Review
We were not too close in the final scores but we got everything but the Ravens who just couldn't keep up with the Colts.
3-1
Minnesota Vikings (12-6) at New Orleans Saints (13-3)
Two great offenses playing in the dome, this is a home field advantage game. The Saints will pick apart the defense of the Vikings and Drew Brees is the best at avoiding pressure. Expect it to be high scoring but the Saints to win on special teams.
Vikings: 27 - Saints: 34
New York Jets (11-7) at Indianapolis Colts (15-2)
To be the best, you have to beat the best and the Colts are the best in the AFC. The Jets are going to play their game, great running, great defense and see if they can do enough to keep Manning on the sidelines. Expect the Jets to have a few things up their sleeves including a great Brad Smith package.
Keys to the Castle: Don't get down. The Colts love playing from a lead, let them and they will win. Seven points going into the half is fine, but if the Jets get down in double digits, it could mean disaster.
Jets: 24 - Colts: 20
Come back next week to see how we did and to see our picks for the Super Bowl
