Queens Civic Group Wants Queens Jets Stadium
The Queens Gazette is reporting that a Queens civic group is going to try and convince the 2012 Olypmic group to vote for a new Queens Jets stadium as opposed to the one on the West Side.
'The 54-year-old civic activist and one-time weekly newspaper editor said that, compared "to wasting a huge amount of taxpayer dollars for the Manhattan West Side plan, money which the city doesnt have," selection of the Flushing site for development makes fiscal and common sense and will save the citys bid for the 2012 summer Olympics, which, Oats said, right now is in danger of being lost."
