New York Jets Drop $720 Million Dollar Bid
The New York Jets, let by Jets players, brought in a huge bid of $720 million dollars for the MTA air rights over the West Side rail yards.
The bid is cooperation between the New York Jets and other developers to buy up the entire 13 acre plot. Unlike the original plan this plan calls for the Jets and friends to build the platform, leaving the MTA with all of the proceeds from the sale. Cablevision's bid number was not disclosed so it is a wait and see to see if it changed beyond the original $600 million dollars.
