Cardinals 35 - Jets 56 - Week Four 2008 Review
A review of the Jets vs Cardinals game in the fourth week of the 2008 season.
The highs and lows of being a Jets fan were spilled out on the field on Sunday.
This game was never close and while the media will say the Cardinals staged a comeback or two, the truth is, the game was over at the half. Brett Favre is back on track and throwing like a man on fire.
Second Quarter Blowout
The biggest stat to come of this game is that the Jets put up 34 points in the second quarter. That is 34 points in one quarter. Let it sink in for a minute. Sure, the Jets defense let the Cardinals score a few in the 3rd, but it was over at the half. Done and done.
Knights of the Game
It is almost too obvious and too easy to pick Brett Favre as the knight of the game, so we will. Not only did he set his own personal record of six touchdowns in a game but tied Broadway Joe in the Jets record books. The other knight goes to Kris Jenkins who dominates on the field and when is playing makes a HUGE difference.
Fool of the Game
The only foolish move was the pass defense in the third quarter. It seemed like they were using the "bend don't break" defense but got all sorts of broke. Sometimes a defense plays to a scoreboard and that is what it looked like with that monster lead.
Hello, Buy
Next up for the Jets is a much deserved rest. Time for them to heal up a little and come back out on a streak against what looks like the easiest part of the schedule. Hang in their fans, it is going to be rough.
