A Mighty Win

There are games when a team squeaks by and then there are games when every part of the team is firing on all cylinders, and this was all the latter.

The New York Jets went into a very hostile stadium, up against a undefeated Titans team and made every play to win the game 34-13. The first drive set the tone as the Jets, after shutting down the Titans offense, went right down the field and scored a touchdown, never to look back.

Leon The Lion

The back breaker in the game came when Leon Washington took a short screen pass and ran it 61 yards for a score giving the Jets a 27-6 lead at that start of the 4th quarter.

Knights of The Game

Clearly a lot to hand out this week so Leon Washington gets the first for just being a stud every time he touches the ball. Defenses have a hard time covering the little guy and if he gets into space he can break one all the way as he did yesterday. The other Knight has to go to Kris Jenkins who provides so much pressure up the middle it leaves no room for the quarterback to throw. The defining play of the game had to be when he just whipped Kevin Mawae to the ground on his pass rush. Unstoppable.

Fools of the Game

The Jets were without a fool, but the Titans were not as the entire receiving core gets the fool of the week for all the drops. Thanks to them though, because they made the game that much easier to win.

Denver Down

The Jets now wait for the Denver Broncos to arrive fresh off their destruction by the Oakland Raiders. Hopefully the Jets can keep up the pressure and put this game to bed early on a late Sunday afternoon.
