The New York Jets announced that they are going to try and see LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification for their new practice facilities in New Jersey.
Gang Green Goes Greener?
Perhaps, it is no coincidence that New York’s third favorite team, also known as Gang Green, announced plans to seek LEED certification for its new headquarters and training facility. The $50 million facility will occupy 26 acres, and will include a 120,000 square foot building. Although the complex will not open until 2008, this may provide an example for other teams to follow as new developments are planned. At the very least, this announcement should finally give Jets fans reason to be proud.
