Week Five 2007 - Jet Kingdom Throne Picks
Jet Kingdom picks the AFC East match ups and scores for week five of the 2007 NFL season. This week we pick the Jets at Giants, the Dolphins in Houston, the Browns in New England and Seahawks in Pittsburgh.
Just one team in the AFC East is dominated everyone is just learning to swim, this week.
New York Jets (1-3) at New York Giants (2-2)
The Super Bowl of New York Pride is this weekend and the Jets are desperate for a win. The Giants come off a big Sunday night win against the Eagles where they tied the game sack record while the Jets need to figure out their offense. Chad Pennington usually bounced back from bad games, so expect that and less sacks for the Giants.
Jets: 17 - Giants: 13
Miami Dolphins (0-4) at Houston Texans (2-2)
Are the Dolphins as bad as their 0-4 record indicates? Probably not and neither are the Texans as good as they are looking. Houston will be playing without a few starters and the Dolphins should be fighting for their jobs. Dolphins defense finally shows up to play.
Dolphins: 31 - Texans: 20
Cleveland Browns (2-2) at New England Patriots (4-0)
Nobody wants to go to New England and play against the undefeated Patriots and the Browns are no exception. The Pats have dominated their opponents while the Browns are looking for a reason to put in Brady Quinn. It is a good old fashioned beat-down.
Browns: 20 - Patriots: 36
Dallas Cowboys (4-0) vs Buffalo Bills (1-3)
It isn't cold enough in Buffalo to freeze out the warm-weather Cowboys and while rookie Trent Edwards looked good against the Jets, he will not have the time to throw the ball. Cowboys keep on dominating while the Bills look around for more answers.
Cowboys: 41 - Bills: 13
Seattle Seahawks (3-1) at Pittsburgh Steelers (3-1)
In our last Throne Pick we see two pretty good teams who are trying to put together a run for the playoffs and beyond. Too bad for the Steelers, the Seahawks are a good team and should only get better. It will be close but the NFC has the edge.
Seahawks: 24 - Steelers: 20
Make sure to come back next week to read our Jets game review and see how we did in our Throne Picks this week as well as our season standings.
