Week Fourteen 2008 - Jet Kingdom Throne Picks
Jet Kingdom picks the AFC East match ups and scores for week fourteen the 2008 NFL season. This week we pick the Patriots heading to Seattle, the Dolphins up in Canada against the Bills and the Jets flying west to take on the 49ers.
Week Thirteen Results
Went 2-2 last week getting the Dolphins and Steelers but underestimating the 49ers and the Broncos.
Miami Dolphins (7-5) at Buffalo Bills (6-6)
The Dolphins have had some good play and some good luck to get them by this year. The just got a win over the Rams last week while the Bills lost very poorly to the 49ers. This is the week the Dolphins luck runs out and the Bills try to salvage what is left of the season. JP Loseman isn't very good, but he can do enough to win. Expect Miami to struggle in Canada, eh.
Dolphins: 21 - Bills: 23
New England Patriots (7-5) at Seattle Seahawks (2-10)
This is another interesting game for Jet fans to watch (or at least Tivo) as the Jets will be playing the same game in two weeks. The Patriots might have had a hard time against the Steelers but nothing says comeback like going up against a 2-10 team. The only thing Seattle has going for it is the location, but it won't be enough. Expect Patriots quarterback Matt Cassel to go back to simply game with a lot running a screens.
Patriots: 31 - Seahawks: 12
New York Jets (8-4) at San Francisco 49ers (4-8)
The late games haven't been good for the Jets, but the streak ends on Sunday. This should be a back to basics game, stop the run, run the ball make a few big plays on special teams. The 49ers have a runner in Frank Gore so stopping him should ensure the win. Expect Favre to throw under 250 yards and Thomas Jones to have another big day.
Key to the Castle: Play with passion. This team can't come off flat in the first half and let the fans into the game. Take control and pound it out.
Jets: 24 - 49ers: 17
