Week Nine Jet Kingdom Throne Picks
Jet Kingdom's weekly predictions about the AFC East match ups and outcomes. This week we pick the Dolphins at Bears, Colts at Patriots and Green Bay at Buffalo.
No rest for the weary, Jet Kingdom doesn't get a bye week so even though the Jets are taking a rest, the picks go on. This week we see an AFC East crash.
Miami Dolphins (1-6) at Chicago Bears (7-0)
This is the worst match-up of the week and probably of the year. The Dolphins have not been able to score more than 20 points in any game and have struggled stopping opponents of all strengths and sizes. The Bears are the dead opposite in that they have dominated teams with their defense and an offense that is wide open. The only thing the Dolphins can hope for is that the team that showed up for the first half against the Cardinals shows up again. Very doubtful.
Dolphins 9, Bears 31
Indianapolis Colts (7-0) at New England Patriots (6-1)
If there is a team out there that can beat the Colts it is the Patriots. If there is a place the Colts like to lose, it is Foxboro, Mass. This game has every inkling for an upset. The Patriots have a short week and are not as strong as they have been in the past. The Colts are undefeated and riding that high pressure going into a stadium against a team that has their number. Not this year and not this time. The difference now is the Cols are playing gritty. They are winning against teams not with so much finance, but brilliance and will win again on Sunday. We should probably have learned our lesson last week but we didn't.
Colts 34, Patriots 30
Green Bay Packers (3-4) at Buffalo Bills (2-5)
Is the Pack back? Probably not but they are good enough to beat teams that are worse then them. The Bills have gone down hill this season and the Packers seem to be fighting back. The cold Buffalo winds won't get to Brett Favre but the Packers defense will get to J.P. Loseman. Pack wins again and gets to .500.
Packers 27, Bills 23
As always come back next Tuesday to read the Jets game recap and how we did in our Throne Picks.
