With one big storm behind us we kick off the Jet Kingdom 2008 Throne Picks for the start of the season.

Washington Redskins (0-0) vs New York Giants (0-0)

The Super Bowl champions return home to kick off the 2008 NFL season with a blast. They are missing some key defensive parts but the offense should be strong enough to win one against the Redskins who might be better by mid-season.

Giants: 24 - Redskins: 17

Kansas City Chiefs (0-0) vs New England Patriots (0-0)

This could be the lock of the century pitting a Super Bowl caliber team against one in total melt-down and rebuild. The line is at 16.5 so I think the Patriots will start the season by besting that and putting a hurt to the Chiefs. Herm's press conference afterwards should be interesting.

Chiefs: 13 - Patriots: 31

Seattle Seahawks (0-0) at Buffalo Bills (0-0)

Seattle is a team that plays in a weak division but wins in it just the same. The Bills play in a tough division but can't seem to get over the hump. The game will be rusty with lots of mistakes but the Seahawks have less unknowns and will get the job done.

Seahawks: 23 - Bills: 19

New York Jets (0-0) at Miami Dolphins (0-0)

There are so many side stories in this game, it will be hard to fit them all in the broadcast. Favre, Pennington, Parcells, oh my. The Dolphins aren't the 1-15 team they were a year ago but the Jets have re-fueled as well. Favre won't be perfect but Pennington will make up for it. Expect the Jets offensive line to get nasty and set the tone early.

Jets: 28 - Dolphins: 23
