Week Two Jet Kingdom Throne Picks
Jet Kingdom looks towards the week two match ups in the AFC East and predicts the outcomes.
Hard to beat the start we had last week as we went 4-0 in our picks. The pressure is one, but we are ready to hang in there and make the tough picks from the throne.
New England Patriots (1-0) at New York Jets (1-0)
We certainly couldn't have imagined these two teams would be battling for first place in the AFC East so soon, but there you have it. The Patriots are coming off a tough win against the Bills and now definitely without Deon Branch as he was traded to Seattle. This is the Jets season opener and homecoming for Chad Pennington who was great on the road last week. This game is going to go back and forth but the Jets will win in the end with a lot of pressure on Tom Brady. Look for Cedric Houston to get some playing for Andre Dyson to have his third pick of the season and for Mike Nugent to miss nothing.
Patriots 24, Jets 27
Buffalo Bills (0-1) at Miami Dolphins (0-1)
Both teams meet in Miami with a chip on their shoulder. The Bills lost by a safety last week against the Patriots and the Dolphins lost to the Steelers who they had in their sights. This game won't be too high scoring as both teams have better defenses than offenses but Daunte Culpepper makes a few deep passes to Chris Chambers and wins their home opener.
Bills 10, Dolphins 24
New Orleans Saints (1-0) at Green Bay Packers (0-1)
Sticking with our throne picks of other teams the Jets will play this season we set our royal gaze on the Saints at Green Bay. The Packers looked horrible last week getting shutout while the Saints and their new first round draft pick Reggie Bush looked pretty in their win. While we do expect the Packers to actually score this week, we still see the Saints beating up on the Packers defense. Still not cold enough at the frozen tundra.
Saints 23, Packers 14
Come back on Tuesday and read up on how we did in our picks as well as a review of the Jets game where we announce our Knights and Fools.
