Feel the Olympic Spirit
http://www.nyc2012.com/en/petition.html To: NYC2012 Supporters From: Jay L. Kriegel, Executive Director Friday, April 15, 2005 Dear Friend, We need your help to bring the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to New York. We recently launched a petition in support of the Olympic Stadium. Five thousand of you have signed the petition so far - an amazing response. Now, we need you to help us build support beyond you. We need you to ask your friends and family to join you in this quest to bring the Games to New York. Please invite everyone you know - we need everyone's support: http://www.nyc2012.com/en/petition.html We are continuing to make New York's case around the world. This weekend, many members of the International Olympic Committee will meet at a conference in Berlin, Germany. Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Deputy Mayor and NYC2012 Founder Daniel Doctoroff will lead New York's delegation. With many IOC voters and other influential Olympic officials in attendance, this weekend's meeting is one of the most important and final opportunities for our leadership to tell New York's Olympic story to the world. Even more important than this weekend's presentation, however, is the successful approval of the Olympic Stadium before the IOC votes on July 6. Without full approval, we will not get the Games. This week, the Olympic Stadium project received yet another critical approval, meaning that only one more hurdle remains. We need your help to clear it: http://www.nyc2012.com/en/petition.html I love New York, and I know that hosting the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games would benefit the city for generations. The excitement of the Opening Ceremony, the intensity of the competition, and the amazing camaraderie of the athletes all combined with the energy of New York would make this an event like no other. We've all been working for years to bring the world's most amazing event to our great city. In the coming weeks, we will tell you exactly what you can do to help as this campaign reaches its climax. Please continue to stay informed and spread the word. Let's make it happen - together. Best regards, Jay L. Kriegel Executive Director P.S. Tell everyone you know to sign the petition! http://www.nyc2012.com/en/petition.html Copyright © 2005 NYC2012, Inc. http://www.nyc2012.com/en/petition.html
